Feedback from Lipan Art Workshop by St Clares pupils

We used mirrors and sequins to make our work shiny.
I enjoyed learning how to do Lipan Art.
Enjoyable.
I learned how to use different materials.
It was interesting, but my nails got dirty!
I wish we’d had more time to spend on our work.
Absolutely good!

Walbrook Nursery Derby

9th February 2010 Tile work using Sequences and mirrors working with nursery students

Feedback from Walbrook Nursery

Sheila Wheatley Nursery teacher :

  • selection of resources was good with a wide variety of shapes and sizes
  • artwork promoted imaginative/creative skills
  • promoted working together
  • developed self-esteem, especially vulnerable children

If used in the future, we would like to make the following suggestions :

  • earlier access to the website would have been useful
  • a pre-visit to the school by the artists to see the age range of children/site/workspace etc
  • the artists were unfamiliar with nursery practise.
  • An evaluation sheet for the end of session to give feedback
